About the World of Camilo
This is an explorable 3D portfolio for Camilo Pestana, an AI/ML leader, researcher and engineer. Instead of a list of bullet points, his career is laid out as a small island: each building is a chapter, and guides along the paths can tell you about the work.
The guides are fictional
Yume, Ren, Aoi, Kaito, Sora are fictional characters, not real colleagues. Everything they tell you comes from Camilo’s public profile (CV, publications and public links). Every conversation is hand-written and scripted: you pick from a few choices, and nothing is generated by an AI model or sent to a server.
The traditional CV is the reference version.
Accessibility
The world supports keyboard, mouse, gamepad and touch. Reduced motion follows your system setting and can be changed in Settings (Esc). If the 3D scene can’t run on your device, the CV has all of the same content.
How this island was built
Camilo built the island with AI agent harnesses in Claude Code. A planner splits the work into stages, builders work in parallel on files only they own, an integrator wires the pieces together and runs the checks, and separate reviewers (an art critic, QA and code review) send back lists of fixes. Nothing counts as done without evidence: agents open the real game with Playwright, take screenshots and compare them with the brief. The environment is scripted in Blender, and the voices and sounds come from ElevenLabs.
The guided demo “Games built with AI agents”, at the studio workstation and in the Workshop Notes book, shows the same approach applied to his browser games.
Built with
- Next.js (App Router) and React
- three.js with React Three Fiber, drei and postprocessing
- Rapier physics (kinematic character controller, camera collision)
